Sorority Paddles

-A Sorority Paddle is an historic reminder of special Greek relationships.  If it is the custom of your chapter to give paddles, then you might want to make your own. You can buy a blank wooden paddle and wooden Greek letters to represent your sorority and make a creative symbol of that special bond. Click to see a beautiful custom designed sorority paddle.   OR

New Sorority Scrapbooks

Rasheeda is a most creative young lady who is putting her talents to work in making custom designed scrapbooks for sororities and selling them on eBay.  I contacted her and asked her how she got started making these unique scrapbooks.

AKA sorority scrapbook

Rasheeda said,
"I started out making them as gifts for my new sorority sisters.  I then began receiving requests from some of my sorority sisters, to give as gifts to people in other chapters. I began making them  for several sororities and thought I would try selling them on Ebay.  I have been selling successfully on Ebay since June 2008."

Rasheeda has her own website ( see our Greek Links for Crimson Red) and her goal is to begin vending at sorority and fraternity events. She currently hand-crafts sorority scrapbook covers to represent  Delta Sigma Theta, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Zeta Phi Beta,  and Sigma Gamma Rho Sororities and Order of Eastern Star.

She welcomes requests from  other sororities and will work with you on a design that meets your needs.
Each book cover is two- dimensional and designed to represent the symbols, mascots, jewels and colors of each organization. Books can also be personalized for an additional fee.

AKA Frog Ornaments

Alpha Kappa Alpha Frog Ornament

Tis the season to be jolly..
These little AKA pink and green frog ornaments are full of jolly.  Liven up your own tree or give them away as Christmas gifts to your sorority sisters.

Use this idea and make your own sorority Christmas ornaments.

  • Look for 3 wooden cut-outs of your mascot such as the frog in this example.  You will also need 3 Woodsies.
  • I used the round shaped woodsies for this example.
  • I painted the woodsie pink and when it dried, I used a Sharpie permanent markers to write the letters.
  • This wooden circle (woodsie) was glued to the wooden frog.
  • I cut a length or narrow pink ribbon and attached it to the wooden frog this way: With Elmer's Glue I made 2 little globs of glue on the back of the frog and put the ends of the ribbon in the glue.  Then I added another small drop of blue on top of the ribbon end. I allowed it to dry thoroughly (takes and hour or two).

That's it. Ready to hang on the tree!
