I just noticed that Greek Gear is having a sale on gift sets like this one for Zeta Tau Alpha. This set is selling for $9.95, plus the daily deal is 20% off of your purchase. The sorority gift sets vary for each sorority. The descriptions don't list the items, only that what is seen in the picture will be included. These sell out fast so I hope you will find some still available.
Sigma Sigma Sigma. This 6 piece Sigma set is also selling for $9.95, plus the daily deal is 20% off of your purchase. Get some purple or white tissue paper to put inside the can that is included; then fill the can with the other little sorority gifts. Wrap up the boxed notepad separately to give at a different time. --that's just what I would do.
This Alpha Chi Omega set is marked down to $5.95
The mouse pad is a great item and there is also a toothbrush - no doubt with Alpha Chi Omega symbols, too. I am thinking the other item is either a mirror in a sleeve or a notepad. Does anyone know?
For those of you who are looking for great little sister gifts that are affordable, this sale will help you out.
Remember, Greek Gear has a daily deal, too. Today's is 20% off.

ZTA Wine Glass Charms made by Tricia (see link below article)
I asked Tricia how she got started making and selling sorority gifts and I am so pleased that she agreed to share her story with us.
FROM TRICIA:
I was in Zeta Tau Alpha in college and my sister and I were always trying to come up with creative ways to give gifts to our sisters without spending a fortune. We made and sold ZTA T-shirts, pins, and hair accessories during college. During our year after graduation we spent some time traveling along the East Coast and partly paid our way by taking our hand-made shirts to various chapters and selling them after chapter meetings. We had a fun time being creative and impressing our ZTA sisters.
A couple of years ago (after a 12-year Air Force career and 2 years of teaching), I found myself at home starting a family. I still love being creative and one day decided I wanted to make wine glass charms. They’re so fun, but they always seemed kind of expensive and I wanted them personalized to my friends’ interests. As I got going I found so many cute charms and had soon found these ZTA symbols: the crown, strawberry, Cuddlebunny, and Hope ribbon."
"I researched many of the other sororities’ symbols and soon I had a little eBay business going on. A friend who is a Kappa Kappa Gamma was amazed when she saw wine glass charms at my house with the owl, key, and fleur-de-lis.
Wine glass charms were my start and that’s why my store is called “Tipsy Tags”. But, I didn’t want to limit myself to wine charms so I expanded into other jewelry: necklaces, earrings, bracelets, cell phone charms, keychains, and bookmarks. It has been fun providing unique inexpensive gifts to so many people.
I love the uniqueness of my items and I love getting positive feedback from my buyers! I know how nice it is to be able to give a thoughtful little gift, and especially in this economy it’s great to be able to find one that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. I also love providing the service of customizing my gifts. I have a lot of buyers who ask for special colors or a change in charms and I always try to give them exactly what they want.
Chi Omega Bracelet
It’s funny that you mention the pandas. (I told her that I especially liked the Panda charms and earrings, etc.) I think they’re my best-sellers now (necklaces, bracelets, earrings, keychains, and more!) I’m personally fond of them because my little daughter is adopted from China
I sell all sorts of different charm jewelry in my store, but sorority members are my most frequent (and happy) customers. I think they love seeing their mascots and symbols and being able to give a special gift to a special friend!
I wish we’d had a site like yours (well, okay, there was no internet! J) when I was in college. There are so many fun creative ideas out there!" Tricia

I have posted about these sunglasses before, but I wanted to include some links again since spring break is coming up.
I believe these are the same sorority sunglasses that were not available for a while. The price of $9.95 is unbeatable and the eBay description includes a GREEK LICENSED symbol which is nice to know. Before buying, always check the feedback of the seller. I usually take time to read some of the feedback, too, rather than just looking at the score or percentage.
The Greek Sunglasses seller on eBay has this to say about this sorority product:
These sunglasses are Black, and feature BIG BOLD Greek Letters on BOTH SIDES of the sunglass frame. The letters are permanent and WILL NOT WEAR OFF.
These sunglasses are high quality, and extremely fashionable. They provide UV400 protection from the sun's harmful rays. These are not cheap and flimsy sunglasses that will break easily, we only sell high quality sunglasses. We stand behind our product.

A great new custom made sorority item are these sorority monogrammed sunglasses straps. These are being offered on eBay right now, but may not be available soon. You just never know about eBay sellers, whether they are offering sorority gifts for a short while or rather they are setting up a permanent business. Anyway, if you like them, now is a great time to grab one for yourself or for a great sorority gift.

This is an item I haven't seen before that is so cute! Choose your color and your Greek letters and your own initials for a custom sorority item.
The price right now is $13.99 and only $1.64 for shipping.
If you want your order in a timely manner, MAKE SURE YOU INCLUDE YOUR ITEM DETAILS. Do not forget:
1. Item Color
2. Placement of Embroidery
3. Font
4. Thread Color
5. Initials/ Group name
6. Indicate which initial is the last name and if it is for a man or woman

Another item that this seller offers is Monogrammed Scarves. Since she does the Greek letters on the sunglasses straps, I believe you could order a scarf with Greek letters.
Be sure that you send her a message to ask about Greek letters before you buy a scarf. Her seller ID is marleylilly.

More information about these custom scarves from the seller (marleylilly):
"CASHMERE FEEL SCARVES:
The PURPLE picture above is the cashmere feel scarf section. The purple one is done in the master circle font. These are softer and more warm. You can pick any of the solid color or the houndstooth, there is no extra charge on these type of scarves. THIS TYPE DOES MONOGRAM BETTER BUT IS HALF THE WIDTH OF THE PASHMINAS.
PASHMINAS:
ONE SOILD COLOR scarf. If you want ZEBRA OR ANOTHER ANIMAL PRINT please look at my other items, I have PRINT AUCTION for sale in another auction. The price above includes personalization. The font pictured on the light brown one is PENDANT. Please understand that this is a woven material and a monogram will NOT BE PERFECT, since the material is knitted it may pull and tug in certain areas. If you look really close, you can see that the monogram will tug slightly at the pashmina. It does not look bad in my opinion (I wear these all the time) but if you are a perfectionist I suggest getting a CASHMERE FEEL Scarf since the material is not knitted and the monogram will look more clean.Scarf since the material is not knitted and the monogram will look more clean. The pashminas in the picture are this type of scarf, they are doubled over and are medium weight.
FONTS:
I can do any of the 50 fonts from monogramwizard.com or you can just tell me your initials and I can stitch the font that looks best with your letters. Just tell me if you want something scripty or something more casual.
When checking out in paypal, include:
1. Color and type of scarf
2. First name initial:
3. Middle name initial:
4. Last name initial:
5. Desired font or type of font
I can get about 48 different colors of scarves so let me know if you are looking for.
The above information is from the eBay seller, marleylilly.
| I am thrilled to share a new line of hand crafted sorority jewelry made by Keely Phillips. I asked Keely to share her story with you and a little bit about her sorority art. The following is what she told me: |

"Two of my most popular items are vintage sorority cocktail rings and antique watch fob necklaces. With the rings, I use vintage cocktail rings (usually in the color of the sorority) and add vintage sorority crests. My other big seller consists of taking antique Victorian British watch fobs and adding the vintage sorority crests. Younger girls love to wear this on a 30 inch sterling silver chain. It makes it modern and fresh. Other I items I do are antique pin boxes, sterling silver rings, etc.
There is always variety: "Here are a few more of the vintage and antique sorority pieces I have made."
